A most awkward encounter. We were test-driving a car in Mombasa when this young student walked past. He had features that suited our lenses so we approached him for a shoot. He hesitated. we understood. How many times does a total stranger approach you on the streets to ask to take a picture of yours you might never ever see? “What the hell do they want to do with my picture anyway?” would have been his thoughts. But we were gently, we were patient and in the end he agreed and got our card for future references.
